Math videos for kids are essential in my homeschool. Early on in my homeschool journey, I learned the value of educational videos.

The following are 9 math videos for kids that will help you teach math to even the most resistant student. If your student is neurodivergent (ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, or dyscalculia), or just needs extra math support, these are sure to help!
1. Number Blocks
Numberblocks is a BBC series of math videos for budding mathematicians. You can find the entire series on Youtube! Or you can go straight to the Learningblocks website to view the episodes.
Numberblocks is broken up into 5 levels.
Math Levels in Numberblocks:
- 1: Numbers up to 5
- (counting, comparing & sorting)
- 2: Numbers up to 10
- (number bonds, odds, evens, squares, patterns & shapes)
- 3: Numbers up to 20
- (place value, doubling, halving, multiplication & division)
- 4: Numbers up to 50
- 5: Numbers up to 100
Just recently, we bought these Numberblocks mathlink cube set! He LOVES them! The perfect way to make the math video lessons come alive!
2. Numberjacks
Numberjacks is one of the most engaging math video series for kids!
My son fell in love with Numberjacks when he was 3 and has been watching them ever since!
Numberjacks is a BBC show that features digits 0-9 as animated characters. The Numberjacks live “in an ordinary sofa, in an ordinary room” and go on adventures.
Numberjacks focuses on number bonds that make 10. For example, 7 and 3 are always together. One and nine, two and eight, and so on.
This is a fantastic math skill for all kids.

3. Leap Frog Math Videos for Kids

In our home, we love all Leap Frog videos! My son has loved these math videos since he was 2. Several math videos in the Leap Frog Series follow the adventures of Leap, Lily, Tad, and Mr. Quigley.

Preschool Prep has been putting out quality educational videos for kids for a long time! In Meet the Math Facts video series, kids are introduced to several math skills and concepts.

Rate of Speech is Great for Slow Processing Speed
I LOVE that this series of educational videos uses a slower rate of speech. Why is this important?
Many children have a slower processing speed. They need more time to process oral language, for example. Using a slower rate of speech allows kids to more accurately receive and process information.
This makes Meet the Math Facts a great tool for even older kids (ADHD, Autism, and other learning challenges).
5. The Money Song by Jack Hartmann
Jack Hartmann’s Children’s Music Channel is an educational Youtube Channel.
His videos are made up of catchy tunes that help kids learn valuable information. He has several math videos for kids including:
- The Money Song (value of coins)
- Hop Around the Clock: How to Tell Time (time by the hour)
- Skip Counting by 10s
- Multiply by 2

The following math videos are resources for kids learning higher-level math skills and concepts.
7. MathAntics
MathAntics is a fantastic series of math videos for older kids and is available on Youtube for free. However, the creators, Rob and Jeremy, have created a subscription-based service on the MathAntics website.
The subscription is incredibly reasonable at $10 a year!! It includes PDF worksheets and answer keys that coincide with every single video lesson.
When my oldest was taking Algebra, we watched a TON of MathAntics math videos and wouldn’t have survived without it.
Rob, the host, is engaging and knows how to explain complex concepts in an easy-to-understand way.

Mathispower4u is a Youtube Channel full of math videos for kids in middle and high school. This is not a flashy video series but should be helpful for upper-level math courses.
I love this set of videos demonstrating virtual faction manipulatives which can be found at the Phoenix College Math Blog.

Kahn Academy is one of the most popular educational Youtube channels around. Sal Kahn created his not-for-profit organization to help provide all kids with a high-quality education.
There are over 4,500 educational videos on Kahn Academy including hundreds of math videos for kids.

Kahn Academy Junior
Kahn Academy released Kahn Academy Junior for younger students. While Kahn Academy Junior has math videos on Youtube, it also has an educational app.

Backdoor Teaching
I’ve been homeschooling my kids for just over 14 years. However, it wasn’t until my youngest began homeschooling, that I needed to rely on “backdoor teaching” with him. He’s got ADHD and other cognitive differences which make him highly resistant (oppositional) to adult authority.
Because of this, he needs as much agency as possible in school and life. Giving him a sense of control works because he feels less threatened. When kids feel safe, they’re able to learn.
Math videos have been beneficial in helping my son learn important math skills in a non-threatening way. Maybe they can help your learner.
